Sticky Post: Please Hire Mike Teixeira!

My esteemed industry colleague Michael Teixeira is looking for an opportunity in the anti-abuse or email fields. Got something suitable that you’d like to interview him for? I hope you'll consider him. He and I have something in common – we’ve both worked spam issues for MAPS (Mail Abuse Prevention System-- the first anti-spam blacklist group) – me, for a time before Trend Micro acquired MAPS, and Mike, after.

I had my complaints about the environment, but it is/was definitely an excellent training ground for a career in abuse prevention and mitigation.

Mike has over sixteen years experience in the Internet Security/Abuse field and he is well versed in the areas of email, spam and policy management and team management. He also worked on fraud cases, working with law enforcement and legal departments. He has considerable experience in communicating and resolving issues with large ISPs such as Comcast, Road Runner (Time Warner), Cox Communications and Charter, just to name a few. He has a thorough knowledge of the process and procedures of the Internet environment and abuse and he works well in a team environment.

Mike is a great guy with some significant experience in fields near and dear to our heart. I’m hoping somebody out there sees this and reaches out to talk to him. Let me know if you do!

If you would like to contact Mike or see his resume, please click on over to his Linkedin Profile. And thanks for reading!
