Hello again! I’ve talked a lot this week about the updated Microsoft sender requirements (and updated my bulk sender compliance guide), and so I thought it would helpful to share this video, as well.
In it, I run you through the updated Microsoft email sender requirements and what they mean for email senders. If you’re more of a video person who wants a quick recap, I think you’ll find this seven minute run through quite useful.
And remember: if you want to successfully deliver mail to inboxes at outlook.com, hotmail.com, and live.com — and if you're sending more than 5,000 emails a day, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are required, and you’ll start seeing the negative consequences of non-compliance beginning on May 5, 2025.
Think of this as a quick-start guide to avoiding the junk folder and staying on the right side of email authentication best practices. And if you need a more detailed compliance guide, I've got that for you right here.
(Incidentally, this is episode 38 of my ongoing Valimail video series, “Your Email Authentication & Deliverability Questions Answered.” Want more? C’mon over to Youtube.)
