And they've been there since nearly the beginning of webmail, having acquired Rocketmail in 1997 to become the foundation of what we now know of as Yahoo Mail. And nowadays, Yahoo Mail includes mailboxes once hosted by AOL, AT&T, Cox and even Verizon.
Today's fun with data is a snapshot of their representation in the top ten million domains. This is sort of a proxy for the B2B domain space. Yahoo is a smaller player in this space, currently hosting email service for just under 5,000 of the top ten million domains. That doesn't mean they're a non-entity -- it just reflects that they're bigger in B2C versus B2B.
