Orange (aka MasOrange) email shutting down in Spain

Got any orange.es subscribers on your list? Or any lingering addresses from domains like wanadoo.es, eresmas.com, or mixmail.com? Not for long, as Orange (aka MasOrange) is discontinuing its email service in Spain, with their announcement that service will be ending on September 5th, 2025.

The full list of affected domains includes: orange.es, amena.com, ctv.es, ya.com, wanadoo.es, jet.es, wanadooadsl.net, mixmail.com, jazzfree.com, eresmas.com, eresmas.net, orangemail.es, orangecorreo.es, and telepolis.com.

If you're reading this after September 5th, and you're seeing bounces from any of those domains, now you know why. If you're lucky enough to see this before then, and there's still time, I recommend reaching out to those subscribers and asking them to move their email subscriptions over to a different email address.

This email service shutdown comes not long after telecom providers Orange and MASMOVIL merged in 2024 to become MasOrange.
