Friday Fun: Basic Computer Terms, 1976 Edition

Today's time waster is a training film from 1976, helpfully titled Basic Computer Terms. It features Harry, a frazzled businessman who is about 90 years behind on filling his back orders, and Jane, a computer expert who patiently explains that no, computers don't eat people (darn), and yes, you really can learn to use one without being Einstein.

Learn about hardware, software, input, processing, memory, and output! Learn about the mighty card reader, discover what a "bug" really is, and so much more! With punch cards, tape drives, and bulky terminals that were state-of-the-art at the time. No cloud storage to be found. Let's time travel back to the 1970s together, shall we? Just pour yourself some Tang, settle into your orange plastic chair, and click play.
