Talking deliverability with HubSpot

Thanks to Laura M. Browning for inviting me to be part of HubSpot's Masters in Marketing blog/newsletter series very recently. In that interview (find it here), we talked about common deliverability myths, how spam word filtering can sometimes happen but it shouldn't be your focal point when it comes to avoiding spam folder issues, and how windmills are evil.

They also include a "Lingering Question of the Week" where the interviewee answers last week's question and leaves a new question for the next person in the interview queue. I was asked about the best tool to invest in to grow your company, and, well, I put my deliverability hat on when answering. (I guess I never really took it off at any point in the interview, did I?)

If you're like me, and you care both about successful marketing and also are a big fan of email newsletters, you should subscribe to the Masters in Marketing email newsletter. I'm a fan and I think you will be, too. So go ahead and sign up, right after reading my interview, of course.

And as a bonus, HubSpot put together an expert email newsletter launch template, based on best practices and my feedback. It will guide you through foundational newsletter settings, technical configuration and setup, and best practice content and engagement suggestions. Find that here.
