Holiday mid-season check in: What DMARC data reveals about BFCM delivery challenges
Webinar alert!
You've survived Black Friday and Cyber Monday, perhaps Giving Tuesday, too, maybe it ended up stretching into Cyber Week, or maybe it's still Cyber Month for all of December. Did you see higher than usual email rejections? Mailbox providers quicker to block than at other times? Tis the season, as they say.
As you may already know, I work for DMARC provider Valimail. We are in a unique position to be able to ingest and report on the 4xx/5xx deferral/rejections that Google now includes in its DMARC reporting – we've been capturing it from the start, since Google first put it on offer back in July. This allows us to summarize and share data on what Gmail is rejecting due to auth and compliance failures, at a level higher and more broadly than just a single sending platform or single brand.
Curious about what that data shows? Rejections did spike and some of the most common errors we saw were unexpected. I think it's interesting stuff and we'd like to share it with you! We're going to do that on our December 16th webinar, where Scott Ziegler and I are going to break this all down. It's niche, it's nerdy, and we're going to have fun with it. I hope you'll join us!
