Ask Al 50: Why did my BIMI logo SVG file turn black?
You thought you did everything right. You dutifully exported your SVG logo from Adobe Illustrator, you converted it to the tiny-ps format variant of SVG using one of the conversion tools from the BIMI Group's website, and what you were left with was a black blob, not your tastefully designed logo mark. Oh, snap!
But not to worry. That happens sometimes. Actually, it happens to me a lot. And it's because of how CSS, colors and fills are handled in tiny-ps SVG logo files. In my most recent Ask Al video for Valimail, I explain what went wrong, how to fix it, and even talk a bit more about the things you need to be aware of to make sure that your award-worthy Illustrator graphics convert properly into a BIMI logo.
(By the way, that was episode FIFTY of my Ask Al video series! That's some sort of milestone, right? Join the party! Just follow my employer, DMARC SaaS provider Valimail on Linkedin or Youtube if you'd like to get a nudge every time I publish a new one of these videos.)
