DMARC growth, by the numbers


As I've done for a while now, I continue to track DMARC adoption month-by-month by caching DNS data (including DMARC records) for the "top ten million domains" data set. It may not be a perfect view of the universe, but it's a fun little slice of it that helps to reinforce some of the assumptions I have: That DMARC is indeed growing, that Yahoo and Google did manage to introduce the word DMARC to a bunch of new people in 2024, but also, that a bunch of those folks just blindly implemented "p=none" as a policy with no actual care for protecting their domain. (Two steps forward, one step back?)
