As reported by Reuters and many others: "A U.S. judge has thrown out a Republican National Committee lawsuit accusing Alphabet's Google of intentionally misdirecting the political party's email messages to users' spam folders." Hurray, Google's still allowed to filter spam.
Expert privacy blogger Eric Goldman dives deeper, explaining while this was a win for Google, it "is a terrible ruling for email service providers and their efforts to keep spam out of their users' inboxes." Oof.
